Dry Absorption
Dry sorbent injection into the gas stream via a simple venturi or an up-flow reaction chamber upstream from the final fabric filter is a simple process which results in an efficient means of
SO2, HCL, SO3 or HF removal. Absorption takes place both in the reactor (or in the turbulent zone after a simple venturi) and as the reacted sorbent passes through the filter cloth in the fabric filter. To minimize sorbent usage a proportion of the
particulate collected in the fabric can be recycled back to the reaction chamber.
Semi Dry FGD
Ekotechnology can offer technology for both
two-fluid nozzle and rotary atomizer technology
on this application, and one of the first stages of
equipment selection will be to choose the option
which offers the most reliable and cost-effective
solution. Gases usually enter the spray dryer
absorber (SDA) typically at 200-250°C. The SDA
has two functions, first, to cool the gas and then to
absorb the acids, heavy metals, dioxins, furans and
other contaminants. The SDA is designed to approach lamina flow, and to allow sufficient residence time for efficient cooling and absorption. Outlet temperatures are closely controlled to be
compatible with the filter media used in the fabric filter. Most of the acid removal is in the
SDA stage but secondary absorption takes place as the gas passes through the fabric filter.
Wet FGD
Ekotechnology's and its partners' team of engineers have supplied scrubbing systems to the paper and pulp, power generation and chemical industries. Wet scrubber technology includes Dual Flow Trays and Open Spray Towers. Experience includes complete systems with de-watering and the production of commercial or disposal grade gypsum.
LEC EcoSorbWe also offer the Limestone Emission Control System (LEC) that utilizes common limestone in a process that recycles the material for the most economical approach to flue gas desulfurization. Projects using LEC can achieve up to 99% SO2 removal at costs often about half the normal capital.
